Waiver
If you’re booking on behalf of a group, it is your responsibility to ensure that every individual has agreed to this waiver form and knows how to practice safe sauna use.
You must not use the sauna if you have:
- high or low blood pressure
- suffer from any heart or circulatory disorder
- suffer from epilepsy
- have diabetes;
- are pregnant;
- or are prone to dizziness or fainting.
Sauna etiquette must be adhered to at all times. This includes;
- Showering before coming to the sauna
- Sitting on a towel at all times for hygiene purposes and to soak up your sweat.
- Staying in the sauna for no longer than 20 minutes at a time (we recommend 5-15 min sessions depending on experience).
- Gently pouring water using the ladle from the back of the rocks to the front to avoid getting burnt by the steam; do not dump water.
- Only pouring the provided ‘sauna water’ on hot rocks and nothing else.
- Washing feet in the bucket provided before entering the sauna.
- Any hanging jewellery must be removed before entering the sauna to prevent the risk of burning.
- No glass or metal inside the sauna.
- All individuals using the sea or lake do so at their own risk.
- The stove is for staff use only. Please do not touch it, open or close the stove door, or adjust the stove vents at any time. Please ask the sauna operator if any changes need to be made to the stove.
- Alcohol, drugs, and nudity are not allowed in Cedar Hut Sauna/Cwt Cedr.
- Individuals over 16 can join shared sauna sessions.
- If you wish to bring a child between the ages of 7-16 you must book a private session and the child must be accompanied by an adult (with a 1:1 adult-to-child ratio). Before the session, the guardian must read our “Guidance for Attending Cedar Hut Sauna with Children” and complete a consent form. Children under 16 are not permitted to use the cold showers or pouring jugs.
